Hold half of the card in one of your hands, torn a piece of it and put it in the other hand. Let go the torned piece and the piece you ripped off will jump back onto the card.

Real life version
Show one card to the spectators. Bend a half of a piece to one side. One shake and the bent piece will melt through the other side of the card.

You will end cleanly and you will able to show the card to the spectator after the effect.
