During the Tang Dynasty, Yang Yuhuan was chosen to become an Imperial Concubine in the Palace of the Emperor because of her extraordinary beauty. One day, while she was looking at the flowers, her hand touched one. Immediately, the flower closed itself. Right then, Yang yuhuan's maids believed that this is because the flower realized it was not as beautiful. Yang Yuhuan' was so beautiful she even "put the flowers to shame".
